Fall Update
Dear club members,
A few updates as we head into the winter...
Board of Trustees:
At this summer's annual meeting and election, Kim Levin, Barry Nagelberg and Bart Saidel were each elected to three year terms on the board. Thank you to outgoing board members Andrew Peterson, Greg Young and Lisa Saidel for their dedication and service to the club.
In September, the board elected the following trustees to officer positions for 2015-2016: John Doyle, Treasurer; Kim Levin, Secretary; Steve Merch, Vice-President; and Bart Saidel, President.
Roles and responsibilities have been streamlined into 7 committees: Operations (Frank Rosetti, Steve Merch, Co-Chairs), Membership (Jerry Abrams, Chair), Swim and Dive (John Doyle, Chair), Social (Kim Levin, Chair), Facilities (John Lass, Chair), Athletics (Paul Armstrong, Chair), and Communications (Bart Saidel, Chair).
All committees are currently assessing for cost savings, efficiency, and improvement of the grounds, programs and services. Work has already started. For example, you'll see that three major potholes in our parking lot have been paved at no cost to our club. Also in the works is a new online membership system. Stay tuned for more info on this and other areas.
The Social Committee needs your help!
Help run family activities on Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day. Plan and run Movie Nights, Camp Outs and the Adult Social and more...
Kim Levin is building out a new social committee to run these events but she can't do it alone. We're looking for volunteers from club members to help represent and grow these activities and events. Interested? Please email Kim Levin at social@woodcrestswimclub.com or call her at 609-313-2888.
Final Closing & Winterization:
As SJAC's renting of our pool comes to a close this week, there is a lot of work to be done to close the club for the winter. Please join us on Saturday, November 21st at 9:00am for a Volunteer Day for Final Closing & Winterization. There are many jobs to be completed and we need all the help we can get!
Food and drinks will be served. Please RSVP to info@woodcrestswimclub.com.
Thank you for your commitment to the club, we look forward to a great 2016!
Thank you,
Bart Saidel and the Woodcrest Swim Club Board of Trustees
